Melissa Abell is an educator who is passionate about working with children and teens. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida where she majored in Family, Youth, and Community Science and minored in Education, Melissa went on to a career in Social Work. For ten years, she worked for Boys Town teaching behavioral interventions and providing case management to children and families in Palm Beach County.
Melissa then worked as a teacher with Palm Beach County Schools where she thoroughly enjoyed educating and nurturing the children in her class. When Melissa began working as an educator for the Temple Beth El Religious School, she was thrilled to have the opportunity to apply her love of innovative teaching to a Jewish curriculum. Drawing on her own strong Jewish upbringing - including Religious School, Youth Groups, and singing in the choir- Melissa is committed to fostering the same bond between Temple Beth El and its youngest members.
Melissa and her husband, Charles, are synagogue members whose two young children are students at Temple Beth El. In her free time, Melissa enjoys baking with her children, spending time with friends, and summer vacations with her family.
