This lunch and learn reflects on the impact of Judaism on America and America on Jews. We will look at how leading Reform rabbis helped Jews navigate American culture and how the first Jewish baseball players brought their Judaism into America’s favorite pastime.

Dr. David Dalin has unparalleled insight into the intersection between American History and Jewish history. He is a senior Research Fellow at Brandeis University, an ordained rabbi and widely published scholar of American Jewish history. Dalin is the author/co-author of 12 books, including Religion and State in the American Jewish Experience (co-authored with Prof. Jonathan D. Sarna), and Jewish Justices of the Supreme Court, from Brandeis to Kagan.
