2019 Social Action Community Easter Dinner at Wayne Barton Study Center

Temple Beth El and The Wayne Barton Study Center join forces for the 13th consecutive year (a Bar Mitzvah for the Temple!) to host Temple Beth El’s annual Easter Dinner for families in the East Boca Raton Pearl City community. We help set up, prepare & serve a buffet dinner, provide decorations, an Easter egg hunt, a visit from the Easter bunny, and clean up at the end of a fun-filled afternoon.
 

SATURDAY, APRIL 20
Staging Shift -1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Sign up online.

15 volunteers to "stage" Wayne Barton Study Center...set up tables & chairs, make sure we have everything needed & we know where everything is
 

SUNDAY, APRIL 21
Set Up Shift -11:00 am - 12:30 pm - Sign up online.

40 volunteers to assist in 1 or more of the following activities: setting up & decorating tables & chairs at Wayne Barton Study Center; hanging Easter Dinner banner; cleaning coolers; & other setup tasks

10 children to hide hundreds of Easter eggs, some of which they will spray paint gold

5 volunteers to carve turkeys, hams & chicken

5 volunteers to assist with meal prep & pot/pan washing


Flyer Distribition Shift - Noon - 12:30 pm - Sign up online.
10 children needed to distribute Easter Dinner flyers in surrounding neighborhoods WITH ADULT SUPERVISION (4 adults).

Serving Shifts (2 Shifts) - 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm  or 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm - Choose a shift to Sign up online.
40 volunteers to serve food to members of community; coordinate ice cream distribution to children; & other serving tasks.  Volunteers should also hug, eat, chat & mingle with members of community.

4 volunteers to bring food from kitchen to serving tables (food runners).

2 volunteers for pot/pan washing.

4 volunteers to coordinate take out.


Cleanup Shift - 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm - Sign up online.
30 volunteers needed to assist in 1 or more of the following activities: clearing/cleaning off tables; returning tables & chairs to designated areas; coordinating garbage disposal; & other cleanup tasks.

4 volunteers to clean kitchen & kitchen cooking equipment (pots & pans, etc.).
