Maddi and Wes Finch will be honored at the annual Temple Beth El Brotherhood Golf Tournament Monday, December 10 at Boca Rio Golf Club in Boca Raton, FL.
The premium event includes a gourmet lunch, a round of golf on one of the premiere private golf facilities in Florida, dinner, silent auction, raffle prizes and awards presentation. Registration is open to the entire community with participation and sponsorship options for golfers and non-golfers. Golfers of all gender classifications are welcome.
Proceeds from the event benefit Temple Beth El Brotherhood and the Temple Beth El Annual Appeal.
"Maddi and Wes Finch are each deserving of this honor, so to recognize both of them is a double chai blessing for our Brotherhood, for our synagogue and for the community at large," states Brotherhood President Carlos Romero.
The Finch’s TBE involvement commenced when they joined their daughter, Tracey Grossman, and grandsons a decade ago at TBE. They dedicated the Finch, Grossman, Bendett Family Torah to TBE that acted as the catalyst of the Torah Project, headed by Tracey and Aline Fisher, raising over $1 million for the synagogue.
As Founder and Chairman of the Finch Group, a multi-faceted real estate company, Wes and his team develop, market and manage affordable multi-family residential, mixed-use, high-end, commercial and hospitality properties.
Wes' community involvement in Florida began in 2006 when he was asked to serve on the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County's Budgeting and Finance Committee. Finch has served since 2010 as President of the Jewish Community Facilities Corp., which owns and manages the entire 100-acre Federation campus in Boca Raton. He has been a member of the Federation board of directors since 2009 and became a vice chair in 2010.
His devotion to Jewish causes is also illustrated by his role as Chairman of the Board of Managers of Federation CCRC Development, LLC — the Federation subsidiary responsible for developing and operating the Toby and Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences of Boca Raton.
Married for 48 years, Maddi and Wes are strong supporters of Israel Bonds, the ADL and the Temple Beth El Annual Campaign. They have two daughters, Liza Bendett, who with her husband Blake and 3 children, Andi, Brendan and Baker, lives in Roslyn, New York and Tracey Grossman, who is engaged to Michelle Labgold and has 3 sons, Noah, Asher and Micha. In addition to her work with the Torah Project, Tracey follows her parents example by her strong support of TBE, the ADL and other organizations.
“Maddi and I are humbled by this recognition and hope our involvement in Jewish causes motivates others to do the same,” says Wes.
Previous event honorees include Guy Fronstin, Esq., David Pratt, Esq., Bob Marton, Craig Donoff, Esq., and Adam Runsdorf. Each honoree selects a charitable beneficiary in addition to Brotherhood that receives a portion of proceeds from the event.
This year, Maddi and Wes selected the Temple Beth El Annual Campaign as their beneficiary organization.
