We are excited to open Religious School Registration for the 2017 - 2018 school year! Enrolling your child in Religious School is one of the best ways to ensure that your child continues to live as a Jew throughout their life.  At Temple Beth El, we work hard to create a strong Jewish community, employ innovations in Jewish education and create options for modern dynamic family life.

K-6 Innovations for 2017 – 18 School Year

Sunday Only Option

  • For families seeking a Sunday only program there is a new option. Transportation will be available from BFC to SFC on Sundays at a fee of $200 per student.  The bus will leave at 9:00 am and return at 2:00 pm. There is a 25 student minimum to run the bus.

Schaefer Family Campus Class Options for 3rd – 6th Grade

  • Sunday only option: Sundays 9:30 am – 1:30 pm
  • Sunday/Thursday option: Sundays 9:30 am – 12:00 pm, Thursdays 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm

To provide the best learning environment possible, all class sizes are limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis.

Kindergarten – 6th Grade Classes

  • Offered both at our Schaefer Family Campus (East Boca Raton) and our Beck Family Campus (West Boca Raton.)  
  • Tuition varies based on program selection and date of registration
  • Tuition for the Sunday Only program at the Schaefer Family Campus includes lunch each week.
  • Youth Group membership is included for students in grades K - 6
  • The Non-Member fee is only available for one year in grades K – 4

Bar and Bat Mitzvah Classes for Students Celebrating in September 2018 –  June 2019

  • Offered on Thursday at both the Schaefer Family Campus (East Boca Raton) and our Beck Family Campus (West Boca Raton) from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
  • This class replaces student's midweek class, or third period (12:00 pm - 1:30 pm) for Sunday only students 
  • Students celebrating their BBM September 2018 - December 2018 will take the B'nai Mitzvah Class from September 14 to January 25, 2018
  • Students celebrating their BBM January 2019 - June 2019 will take the B'nai Mitzvah Class from February 1 to May 17, 2018
  • Any student celebrating their Bar/Bat Mitzvah during the 2017 - 2018 Religious School year must be registered for Religious School and attending

7th – 12th Grade Innovations for 2017 – 2018 School Year

Derech Torah - New 7th Grade Format

  • 7th Grade Derech Torah class will meet every other Tuesday
  • Classes will be held from September - January at the Beck Family Campus, and from February - May at the Schaefer Family Campus
  • Dinner included from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
  • Class time 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Two scheduled Sunday Retreats - included in tuition

New Teen Philanthropy Program at Temple Beth El for 9th – 12th Grade Students

Many of out students have a passion for giving back. This year we are offering a Teen Philanthropy program in addition to our traditional programs.

  • There will be an application process and the selected cohort will meet once per month 
  • The goal of our program is for our students to have a deep understanding of philanthropy and the Jewish values that are the core of communal responsibility
  • Program will include: vetting organizations seeking micro-grants, reviewing grant proposals, and the decision making process to allocate grant money

7th – 12th Grade Education

Classes will meet at the Beck Family Campus from September through January, and the Schaefer Family Campus from February through May.  Dates for specific grades can be found in the school calendar.

Bus Transportation for 7th - 10th Graders

  • Can be reserved on our registration form
  • A minimum of 25 students is needed to run this service from either campus
  • Tuesday night bus transportation is available from the Schaefer Family Campus (September - January) and the Beck Family Campus and (February - May) for 7 - 10th graders. Confirmation students will not have transportation on the alternate Tuesday only Confirmation has class. 

7th - 8th Grade - Derech Torah

  • Our Derech Torah program will continue to encourage a kehillah kedosha (holy community) and meet every other Tuesday night at the Beck Family Campus from September through January and the Schaefer Family Campus February through May.
  • Tuition includes Tuesday night dinner, on nights there is class, beginning at 6:30 pm and grade level retreat.

Youth Group membership is included for students in 7th and 8th grade. 

9th Grade - Sababa High

  • Sababa High has been created for high school students to encourage meaningful learning for their entire high school journey
  • Sababa High classes meet every other Tuesday night
  • Tuition for Sababa High includes Tuesday night dinner, on nights there is class, beginning at 6:30 pm and grade level retreat

10th Grade - Confirmation Class

  • Confirmation tuition includes Confirmation Retreat and Confirmation weekend expenses except Shabbat Dinner
  • Confirmation classes meet every Tuesday night
  • Tuition for 10th grade includes Tuesday night dinner beginning at 6:30 pm

11th & 12th Grade - Journey Through Judaism

  • Journey through Judaism program offers an optional trip focusing on civil rights and social justice during MLK Weekend. There will be an additional cost for the 11th and 12th grade trip
  • Journey through Judaism classes meet one Tuesday per month

We encourage all of our high school students to join Temple Beth El's Senior Youth Group BOFTY.
