Temple Beth El Women of Reform Judaism
Pillars of the Temple
 

The Temple Beth El Women of Reform Judaism is a group of highly dedicated and active women who provide much to the members of this congregation and the community.


For the congregation, they:
  • Provide weekly Oneg Shabbats
  • Own and operate the temple's Judaica Shop
  • Provide latkes to the entire congregation at Hanukkah
  • Decorate the Sukkah on the Bima
  • Provide Mitzvah Trays at time of bereavement
  • Sponsor Sisterhood Shabbat
  • Present outstanding guest artists and speakers at special programs and luncheons
  • Contribute generously to all of the temple's major fund-raising projects
  • Present a Mezuzah to couples receiving wedding blessings
  • Send notes to cheer those who are ill
  • Support the special funds of TBE’s WRJ
  • Support BETT
For the congregation's youth, they:
  • Support the Religious School
  • Support the Early Childhood Center
  • Support the Goldstein Youth Library
  • Provide Bar and Bat Mitzvah Gifts
  • Provide the Kidz Korner program for pre-school children
  • Provide the First Day Jitters program for pre-school parents
  • Support BOFTY and all TBE Youth Group programming
  • Provide youth scholarships
  • Send birthday cards and holiday packages to our college youth
  • Provide Confirmands with engraved Bibles
  • Our Religious Festival Committee provides items for the schools' holiday celebrations
  • Provide T-shirts to our newborns at their Naming Ceremonies
For the community, they:
  • Provide after-school sandwiches in conjunction with Boca Helping Hands.
  • Knit blankets for the infirmed
  • Support Jews By Choice
  • Offer weekly duplicate Bridge
  • Support the Daily Food Bank and Mazon
  • Participate in Mitzvah Day
  • Support Jewish Chautauqua Society
  • Support the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces during Passover
