Rabbi Pam Mandel

Rabbi Pam Mandel Bio
Rabbi Pam Mandel was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She began her rabbinical studies at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion after graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Near Eastern Studies. She served as student rabbi at the Hebrew Association of the Deaf in New York City and at the Jewish Home and Hospital in the Bronx. During her final year of rabbinical school, she interned at Temple Chaverim in Plainview, New York, where she worked with the youth group, taught B'nai Mitzvah students, and lead services. She also taught at various congregations in Manhattan and participated in chaplaincy training at the New York Presbyterian Hospital. Rabbi Mandel was ordained in May of 2007.

Rabbi Mandel is excited to be a part of the Temple Beth El community. She enjoys working with the Temple’s youth and participating in pre-school, religious school, and BOFTY programs. She is interested in creating new learning opportunities for all members of the congregation and works closely with the health and wellness committees at Temple Beth El. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Association for Residential Care (JARC), an organization that assists adults with developmental disabilities.

Rabbi Mandel lives in Boca Raton with her husband, Brad, and daughter Sadie Claire.
