TBE Awarded Two Grants
We have received an amazing grant from the Legacy Heritage Foundation that will help facilitate new programming and technology. The first is a major Music Innovation Grant that will provide funds to professionally train song leaders to enhance our congregational music program. There will also be a concert planned with Jewish pop musician Dan Nichols, as part of this grant to help sustain this program.
We have also been granted a SMART Board for our Main Campus Computer Lab (on the Beck Family Campus, many of the rooms are equipped with SMART Boards). Thus, our use of technology and interactive learning will be enhanced on both campuses. We are grateful to the Legacy Heritage Foundation for recognizing the commitment to excellence of Temple Beth El.
At Temple Beth El of Boca Raton, learning is a life-long pursuit.
Our education programs and activities are designed to give our members and their families a positive Jewish identity founded upon knowledge of our people, history, customs, and traditions.
Our Early Childhood Center, Religious School, and adult Continuing Education programs are designed to provide the opportunity to learn and experience what Reform Judaism is all about and how we fit into it. Our goal is to create a community of life-long learners through both formal and informal experiences as well as discussions with staff and rabbis.
Jewish education at Temple Beth El of Boca Raton is comprised of six separate learning experiences:
- Early Childhood Center (ECC) – Our Early Childhood Center (ECC) offers preschoolers an academically strong and developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to teach basic Jewish life skills and offer experiences that develop a love of Judaism. Highly trained teachers help nurture each child through their various stages of development to promote learning and self-esteem. We also offer support to parents through their parenting journey.

- Religious School for students K-12 - Our Religious School is dedicated to deepening Jewish knowledge and experience by strengthening faith in God and love of Torah. We encourage identification with the Jewish people, the student’s involvement in the synagogue, and participation in Jewish life.
Our Religious School is the first in the nation to be accredited four times by the National Association of Temple Educators (NATE).
- Youth Programs - Our Youth Activities Department (YAD) provides opportunities and experiences for children in 1st through 12th grades. We continue to help our youth find ways to spend quality time with other Jewish peers through youth groups, informal programming, social action projects, and social events.
- Family Education - Family Education is an opportunity for parents and their children to learn, grow, share and experience the joy of Jewish education. It’s a hands-on interactive opportunity to laugh and have fun while learning.
- Adult Continuing Education - We value intellectual inquiry and expression and provide a venue for both through our traditional classes, dialogues, and workshops. We encourage adult congregants to participate in all our classes that range from studies of Torah to cultural, religious, and political discussions.
- Helen and Merrill Bank Adult Library - Congregants are encouraged to use the Helen and Merrill Bank Adult Library that offers daily local newspapers as well as a wide variety of Judaic books and videos.
